Qi Gong is the modern umbrella term for a wide variety of Chinese body/mind/breath practices that have evolved over thousands of years, of which Tai Chi is perhaps the best known.
Suitable for all ages, Qi Gong is the ideal way to revitalise your system; it brings together static & moving postures, breathing techniques and mindful intention to strengthen the body, calm the mind and induce a sense of wellbeing and tranquillity.
Regular practice can help improve your core strength, balance, and flexibility, and many studies have shown it has the capacity to help with a variety of common ailments such as anxiety, insomnia and poor circulation.
Newcomers are always welcome and your first class is free. Classes run every Wednesday at 2:30pm in the Dance Studio on the first floor.
I have been practising Qi Gong for 15 years and have studied a variety of styles under different teachers. I hold a teaching qualification from the College of Elemental Chi Kung (https://www.elementalchikung.com/) and a teacher mentoring certficate from Mimi Kuo-Deemer (https://www.mkdeemer.com/) .
