Recent work, including the covid series
The exhibition includes recent works in painting and patchwork collage focusing on colour, shape and mark-making drawing on an eclectic range of references. The work explores ideas about the artist-teacher identity, art work as demonstrations, re-evaluating working practices and coming to terms with change. The exhibition will include a series of 400 collage and painted patchworks made during an extended lockdown during the pandemic. Alongside these are a series of paintings made over more recent years including a very new suite of abstract works exploring new working methodologies.
